At the door
Door Checks at Fallsview and Casino Niagara
The age and ID rules are the same at both casino doors in Niagara Falls. The rules around them are not, and this page sets them out one by one.

Age and ID at the door
Guests must be 19 or older at both casinos, and each door checks ID in the same way. Anyone who looks under 30 will be asked by Security for ID. Those who look 21 or younger must show two pieces. The only ID accepted is valid government-issued photo ID.
Casino Niagara adds a layer of its own. ID may be scanned there and kept for up to 7 days. The property also uses video surveillance, facial recognition and licence plate recognition. Facial recognition at the doors supports My PlayBreak, OLG's self-exclusion program, which bars a person from every Ontario casino, both of these included. A term runs from 3 months to 5 years and cannot be cancelled once made.
Children and families
Policies on children differ greatly between the two casinos. Casino Niagara bars children from the whole property. Its age limit of 19 covers everything, every place to eat included, so families cannot stop in for a meal.
Away from the tables, Fallsview makes space for younger guests. Children can stay in the 372-room hotel and dine at certain restaurants, such as Ponte Vecchio and Bar Barista. They can also see shows at OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino and the Avalon Theatre, both open to all ages, though anyone 12 and under must be with an adult. The gaming floor remains 19+, and no child care is offered at the resort. Neither casino lets in strollers or babies carried in arms.
Phones, bags, smoking and dress
- Casino Niagara: photos and video may not be taken on the gaming floor. Phones are also not for use at the tables or slot machines.
- Bags may be searched at Casino Niagara.
- At Casino Niagara, masks that hide identity are not allowed unless approved in advance.
- Both casinos: indoor smoking is prohibited. Fallsview offers heated, covered terraces for smoking outside, off the gaming floor, while Casino Niagara has designated outdoor smoking areas. Neither property allows cannabis.
- Shirts and shoes must be worn at both casinos, and clothing with obscene or offensive messages is not allowed.
Wheelchairs and service animals
Wheelchairs can be borrowed at both casinos. At Fallsview, the Group Operations Desk lends them first come, first served, against photo ID. At Casino Niagara, ask Security for one. On animals, the two doors follow the same rule. Only service animals are allowed inside either casino, and pets are not, so an animal that is not a service animal has to stay out.
Asked about the two
Does a guest in their mid-twenties need ID?
Bring it, because anyone who looks under 30 will be asked by Security for ID. The only ID accepted is valid government-issued photo ID, and those who look 21 or younger must show two pieces.
Can a 16-year-old wait inside Casino Niagara?
That is not possible. Children are not permitted anywhere on the Casino Niagara property, and every dining spot there is 19+ too. Fallsview lets under-19s into its hotel, some restaurants and its two show halls, but not onto the gaming floor.
Are photos of the Fallsview floor allowed?
Of the two casinos, only Casino Niagara has a photography rule in this guide: no photos or video on the gaming floor. At Fallsview, ask resort staff or consult fallsviewcasinoresort.com before taking a picture.
